Amalgam restorations
These are silver fillings of which there are several types with differing compressive strengths and durability. They are generally extremely reliable but there are issues concerning the mercury they contain.
These are generally the least expensive way of restoring a tooth.
At our surgery we can give you much more detailed and explanation and advice about amalgam fillings but patients are encouraged to do their own research on the internet as well.
